School Leadership/PLT leader/Program leader comments: Focus on achievements and where further development required
Achievement 1. Student Learning: Literacy improvement has been successfully accomplished throughout all classes by following the High Performance Literacy methodologies, tests, research assignments, topic / vocabulary associated with terms and phrases used in VCAL, SOSE, Geography, History. Discussion based activities indicated a successful result in all learning activities.
Achievement 2. Student engagement & Wellbeing: Positive educational relationships successfully developed by programs such as City School. Supportive and productive student interaction was evident. Student evaluation sheet results reflect a significant increase in the above component. The contribution of student experiences recorded in articles in the school magazine provides evidence of the above.
Feedback continued with Mr John Sandman, PLT staff member, concerning class seating arrangement / monitoring students requiring attention was successfully accomplished.
Achievement 3. Student Transition / Pathways: This component was successfully accomplished and evident in my Yr 11 VCAL English class. The students produced a series of reflective / evaluative written pieces of work from the Finding My Place program. The work exists as a bound booklet and displayed at the Lalor Library and RMIT management have also displayed student work in a major leadership conference. The work was also acknowledged as a major program success in the RMIT newsletter.
